TEAM GYM COACH

This is a new programme offered for groups of any age and ability. It incorporates dance, acrobatics, tumbling while displaying co-ordination, balance, statics/strength, flexibility and spring.

The routine is performed to music using the floor, vault and mini tramp.

Team gym encourages participation across a wide range of abilities and age groups that encourages teamwork, creativity, originality and sportsmanship to provide the audience with energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic performances. Teams are made up of 6-12 members.

We are looking for coaches who have a keen eye for group work, love creating routines/displays and has the minimum of a Foundation Coach Qualification.

Hours available are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7 – 8.30pm.

WAG COACH

We are looking for a coach to join the team with Steps 4-8. It is required you hold a Junior Coach qualification or wish to work towards it.

Hours available are Tuesday 4-8pm and Wednesday 4-7pm. Possibly able to start in term 4, 2018.

RECREATION SUPERVISOR

The job of the Recreation Supervisor is to oversee and follow the recreational programme on the assigned day and to actively help Coaches to develop their coaching skills. This person will:

  • have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • support and encourage Buddy Coach development.
  • monitors day to day health and safety of gymnasts and coaches.
  • Holds a minimum of Foundation Coach or is working towards it.
  • Hold a current first aid certificate .

Hours available are Tuesday 4-8.30pm.

PLAYGYM MANAGER

The Playgym Manager:

  • manages and plans the playgym programme and completes administration work around the programme.
  • is responsible for communication to parents.
  • manages the overall responsibility for the direction, organisation and structure of the programme.
  • ensures the programme is operating optimally.
  • strong communication and organisational skills, and exceptional leadership skills.
  • old the Play gym qualification or is interested in working towards gaining it.
  • hold a current First Aid Certificate.

Hours of work are Saturdays 8.30-11am. Mondays 9.30-11am – negotiable.

LEAD COACH – COACH DEVELOPMENT ROLE

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • to support, enhance and actively plan Coach development including goal setting and performance development to all Coaches under the Recreation and Junior Comp programmes on your assigned days.
  • plan the direction of classes with the support of the Squad Manager.

The successful applicant will have exceptional communication and leadership skills and have a strong interest in mentoring Coaches.

Elementary qualification is required as a minimum.  A current First Aid Certificate is also required.

Hours available are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4-7pm. And Saturday 11am – 1pm.

LEAD TUMBLING COACH

The Lead Tumbling coach will plan all tumbling sessions and take the lead on a new tumbling programme we will be offering for the more experienced tumblers.

Junior Coach qualification is preferred or must hold a minimum of Elementary Coach and aim to work towards Junior Tumbling Coach qualification.

Hours available are Wednesday and Friday 7-8.30pm plus planning time.
